On Tuesday, February 21st, there will be a meeting in the school cafeteria at 5p.m. for parents/guardians of potential grads. Any parent/guardian who wishes to help out with setting up and planning for prom and other graduation activities is highly encouraged to attend.

A reminder that next week (January 23 - 27) is Exam/Assessment Week. All students are expected to be in attendance (AM only) during this Assessment Week as each course is expected to have some form of assessment or work. Exams will begin at 8:45 AM and end at 11:00 AM. Students may leave at 10:30 AM if they finish their exam. Exams will commence with Period 1 on Monday, Period 2 on Tuesday, Period 3 on Wednesday, Period 4 on Thursday and Period 6 on Friday.
The last day of school in 2016 will be on Friday, December 23rd, which has a condensed schedule and will be a half day. SSHS would like to wish everyone happy holiday's and we'll see students and staff back on January 10th!
December 21st will be the very first SSHS Floor Games! This is a school day where attendance is mandatory. Throughout the day, there will be two classes taking place in the morning, decorating of the gym corners, and the games after lunch. We will have a winning team by the following day! We're looking forward to see our students transformed into waves of red, blue and green!
On December 6th there will be a Christmas Dinner served in the cafetorium. For $6.75, you can get creamy mashed potatoes, turkey, dressing, veggies and a cookie. Beverages will be sold separately. In the unfortunate case that there is a snow day on the 6th, this dinner will be served the following day!
Until Friday, November 25th, homeroom teachers will be collecting donations for the RCVAA. For a minimum donation of $1, you can help accumulate points for your team. The team with the highest amount of donations will win a prize!
Parent/teacher meetings were a success with a high number of Parents/Guardians turning out. The winner of the Samsung Galaxy Tablet was Melody Johnson!!!
