Fast approaching at SSHS is the annual event, “New Brunswick, My Home”. For this event, local businesses are invited to the high school for an afternoon session on April 2nd. Upon getting their table/booth set up in the school cafeteria, students are called down by grade level to come and explore what our province has to offer for employment. 

Businesses that attend have options to offer door prizes and to use electricity for their booth to offer a unique experience to the students. Once called down, students will be provided ample time (~10-15 minutes for students in 9th and 10th grade, ~20 minutes for students in 11th and 12th grade) to visit each of the companies displays and to speak with their representatives. 

The goal of the event is to demonstrate to students that there are indeed post secondary employment opportunities in our province, especially for the entrepreneurial minded. 2020 marks the second year this important event will take place at SSHS.
