Good evening SSHS Families,

Firstly, I want to thank you for your patience, kindness and support as we move through these times. I want to assure you that we will get through this together.

In collaboration with our partners in EECD, the Enhancement Team and LETE, we will continue to work together with an equitable, sustainable approach to how we deliver education to all of our students at SSHS. Whether our students are learning at home, at the Listuguj Hub Centres or in person at the school, the SSHS Staff and Enhancement Staff are here to be a resource for students.
Full learning will resume tomorrow, Thursday, October 15th , with Group B Students; Group A students will return on Friday. The school will be open for staff and students attending in-person learning. Listuguj students in Group B will attend the Listuguj Learning Hub at the LMDC tomorrow, October 15th, and Group A will attend the Hub on Friday.

On-line learning has become a part of our daily routine, and we are confident that we can adapt to meet the needs of all of our students.

Please remember that on Virtual Learning days, all students will have academic work to do—this is considered a school day, and they should be completing any assignments. The type and amount of work will vary by class. Each course and teacher will have different expectations and may use a different approach (just as on regular school days) so it is important for students to:
 - attend school or the Learning Hub on their instruction days
 - communicate regularly with teachers in person and online
Most of SSHS teachers are using Microsoft Teams to communicate with students as well as to assign and/or collect work. If you are        still without access to a device or internet connection, please let the school know so that they can make arrangements for you.

Students are expected to be active participants in their home learning, and are also expected to check in or complete the work as required by their teacher.

Thank you all for your patience as we work through these challenges together!

Sincerely,

Mark Donovan
